Instead of using a traditional ceiling rail, the LiftMaster 98022 operates from the wall beside the garage door. This placement keeps the area above the door clear while providing enough lifting capacity for doors weighing up to 850 pounds, standing up to 14 feet high and spanning up to 18 feet wide.
Homeowners can use myQ to check whether the door is open or closed, operate it remotely, receive activity notifications and provide access without sharing physical keys. The Time to Close setting can also shut the door automatically after a selected amount of time. Each closure activates the included deadbolt, while Security+ 2.0 and safety reversing sensors help protect the garage during operation.
The system comes with battery power for outages, a remote LED light, a Smart Control Panel and a three button remote. It works with HomeLink version 4.0 or newer. Warranty coverage includes lifetime protection for the motor, five years for parts and one year for the battery and accessories.
