With Aladdin Connect® installed directly within the opener, the Genie 2128 allows homeowners to check and operate their garage door from a smartphone or similar device. Because the connected system is already included, no additional smart home module is needed.
A DC motor powers the selected belt or chain drive and regulates movement as the door begins and completes each cycle. The opener is intended for residential sectional doors standing up to 10 feet tall and can raise the door at speeds of up to seven inches per second. Its C channel rail supports the drive system while concealing the moving belt or chain.
The 2128 automatically chooses between two frequencies to reduce interference from nearby sources. It can communicate with up to 16 compatible devices, uses Intellicode® to protect remote access and connects directly with HomeLink® and Car2U® equipped vehicles. The interior facing light accepts a Genie LED bulb or an incandescent bulb rated at no more than 60 watts. The motor is protected by a 10 year limited warranty.
